PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT + PARTNERSHIPS
SUPPORTING HEALTHY TRANSITIONS PROGRAM (Outline)
Vicky Probert has joined PACE as the Family Counsellor for the Supporting Healthy Transitions Program. The purpose and mandate of this program is to reduce the emotional impact on children, birth parents, adoptive parents, or foster parents when there is a plan for a child to move from one family to another. The development of this program has been exciting and we have received positive feedback about the value of the services provided by both birth parents and foster parents. For more information about this program please see the links below.
We are delighted to note that when the Supporting Healthy Transitions Program was accredited through CARF in June 2009, it achieved exemplary status for providing an innovative and client driven service.

Partnerships:
ABORIGINAL COMMUNITY PARTNERS
We work in close partnership with the Aboriginal Community and Aboriginal Services. PACE participates on an advisory committee for the Vancouver Aboriginal Supported Child Development Program. We have a contract with Vancouver Aboriginal Child & Family Services Society (VACFSS) to provide therapy with Aboriginal children.
COMMUNITY PARTNERS
“In my experience, PACE provides superb support, therapy and caring intervention. One of the most important qualities this program addresses is trust. Families come to trust PACE staff in a way they haven’t trusted anyone else in their own or their children’s lives. Children, sometimes for the first time in their lives, experience care, consistency and stability.”

of being at PACE
“I feel that PACE has been a blessing to our program. Its wonderful to have someone with expertise come in and give us suggestions on how we can help our kids. I personally have found it very beneficial.”
